A three-day meditation retreat of Christians and Buddhists organized in Kielce at the Pallotine Monastery at Karczówka was the first retreat in a series of four meditation meetings for peace co-organized by the Jan Karski Society. The introduction to meditation was presented by Roshi Mikołaj Uji Markiewicz (teacher of meditation, student of Roshi Kwong, zen master and abbot of Sonoma Mountain Zen Centre) and Maksymilian Nawara, OSB (Benedictine, priest, patrologist, leader of the Christian Meditation Centre at the Benedictine abbey in Lubiń, for many years engaged in the cooperation and dialogue between Christianity and Zen Buddhism).
