74th anniversary of the Holocaust of Jews from the Kielce ghetto

On Sunday afternoon at the Menorah monument, we celebrated the 74th anniversary of the Holocaust of Jews from the Kielce ghetto, who were murdered by German Nazis. Dawid Szychowski, Rabbi of Lodz, Wlodzimierz Kac, chairman of the Jewish Religious Community in Katowice, Fr. Jan of the Pallottine Monastery in Karczówka, Bogdan Białek, president of the Jan Karski Society, who said, that the Holocaust of Jews should always be remembered – until the end of the world – participated in a solemn celebration at the Menorah monument in Kielce The fragments of the testimonies describing the cruel murders of the children, the old and the sick from the Kielce ghetto were read out. In a spontaneous way, one of the inhabitants of Kielce shared is memories about the horrors he saw as a child during the German occupation in Kielce. The participants said their Jewish and Christian prayers for the Jews of the Kielce ghetto. At the end of the ceremony flowers were placed in front of the monuments and candles were lit.
