A meditation retreat for peace organized by the Jan Karski Society was organized for the fourth time in 2016. Meditations were devoted to Hesychasm and took place at the Pallottine monastery on the Karczówka Hill in Kielce. This unique initiative of Bogdan Białek, president of the Jan Karski Society, aim at creating a culture of peace, based on an inner effort to become better for themselves and others. The special guest of the meeting was Maciej Bielawski, who is a theologian, translator, writer and painter. He has authored numerous theological, historical and patristic publications as well texts related to Eastern Churches, the issues of monasticism, ecumenism and interreligious dialogue.
