ABCs of Judaism with professor Zdzisław Mach and rabbi Małgorzata Kordowicz

On Sunday, the last meeting organized this calendar year under the ABCs of Judaism and Jewish Culture program took place. Our guest was professor Zdzisław Mach, an outstanding sociologist and cultural anthropologist who spoke about the need to deal with difficult memories in order to build anew our collective identity. As emphasised by our guest, this process is likely to be successful when conducted in dialogue with people from outside  of our social group. After a brief introduction to the topic the professor led a discussion on how to shape our thinking about the Holocaust and the Kielce pogrom.

At the same time, in ‘Plantacja’ Social Club-Café another meeting devoted to the Hebrew language was led by rabbi Małgorzata Kordowicz. Thanks to learning new letters, the participants were able to write more Hebrew words.
