Esther Montag passed away

It is with great sadness that we inform that on Saturday, February 9, Esther Montag, a survivor of the Kielce pogrom, passed away. Esther reached Kielce with her mother, dressed in a striped uniform she had worn at a concentration camp. After the pogrom she left Poland and spent most of her life in New York. Montag described those tragic events in the documentary entitled “Bogdan’s Journey” and she also participated in the New York premiere of the film. She also shared priceless photographs from her family archive, whose prints are presented at the exhibition “Remember the Days of the Past” at 7 Planty Street.
