The first classes on reading in Hebrew

On Sunday, November 17, we started a course in reading in Hebrew organized under the ABCs of Judaism and Jewish Culture program. The secrets of a completely different alphabet were discussed by Małgorzata Kordowicz, a rabbi from the Warsaw Jewish Community, who wrote a Hebrew primer entitled ‘Sfatenu’. The first lesson revolved around reading vowels and the first four consonants. Next, the participants could make several Hebrew words out of the vowels and consonants that they had learned. The next classes would take place on December 8.

The classes under the ABCs of Judaism and Jewish Culture program are organized thanks to the support of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.
