The first meeting of the ABCs of Judaism series after summer holidays

On Sunday, October 28, we started lectures of the ‘ABCs of Judaism” series. Approximately 60 people participated in the meetings which took place simultaneously in two groups. First year students learned about the foundations of Jewish faith from Rabbi of Lodz, Dawid Szychowski, who based his lecture on the pillars of Judaism distinguished by Philo of Alexandria. Advanced students focused on the excerpts from the Torah and texts of Jewish sages and studied them together with Symcha Keller, a cantor and Jewish activist. Together, they discussed the texts according to the tradition of chawruta, i.e. studying together.
