On Monday, June 24, a meeting with the Czech writer Radka Denemarková, organized by the Jan Karski Institute in cooperation with Klimaty Publishing House, was held at the Institute. The starting point for discussion was the most recent book by Denemarková entitled “Kobolt” (Polish translation by Olga Czernikow, Agata Wróbel), a shocking story of strength and weakness, destructive feeling and constant oppression but above all about the evil that is born unnoticed, only to quickly grow to monstrous proportions. The talk focused on the specifics of Czech literature and uniqueness of Denemarková’s writing.
