A visit of the ambassador of the Netherlands

The Dutch Ambassador to Poland, Daphne Bergsma, together with accompanying persons, visited the Institute for the Culture of Encounter and Dialogue in Kielce. ‘It is a great honour to be in such an important place of remembrance’, said the deeply touched Ambassador. Andrzej Białek, deputy-president of the Jan Karski Society, showed the guests around the permanent exhibitions on the Kielce pogroms of 1918 and 1946. He also spoke about the Kielce path to reconciliation and the ways of restoring the memory of our city’s difficult history. The Room of Blessings, where we say that blessing not cursing is the answer to the evil, made a great impression on our guests.
