Jewish synagogue liturgy is based on long-established prayer texts. During the lecture, our guest, Rabbi Stanisław Wojciechowicz, who belongs to the Jewish Community in Warsaw, where he works with the progressive Ec-chaim synagogue, showed how these texts are modified and adapted to the mentality of our times. The basis for these considerations was a new prayer book: “Sidur Ec Chaim, morning prayers for Shabbath and holidays”, the first post-war reformed book containing prayers of the Jewish community in Polish.
