Students from Kielce schools participated in the screening of the film ‘Samuel’ and workshops
organized in cooperation with the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival. We invited Tomasz Taraszkiewicz, a
scriptwriter and author of the film as well as an old friend of Samuel Willenberg who participated in a
rebellion in the Treblinka death camp and in the Warsaw uprising. Taraszkiewicz spoke about an
extraordinary personality of the man who faced great evil. The meeting was also an opportunity to
talk about shaping identity, the revival of Jewish culture and the danger posed by stigmatizing others.
In the evening, the fil was presented to an open public.
