The first workshops of ABCs of Judaism after a summer break – visiting the Zagajscy family house of prayer.

A visit to the Zagajscy family house of prayer initiated the next edition of the ABCs of Judaism and Jewish Culture program. Our guest, Krzysztof Myślinski, an art historian and  head of the education and promotion section at the Kielce History Museum, spoke about the history, the interior and the unique character of the prayer house as well as controversies related to its relocation from the initial location in Słowackiego Street to a place near the Jewish cemetery in the Kielce district of Pakosz.

This year’s program of ABCs of Judaism and Jewish Culture includes various workshops focusing on Jewish cuisine, learning to read Hebrew or studying the history of Jewish cemeteries.
