Miriam Synger: Is Hanukkah a Jewish Christmas?

Hanukkah is an eight-day festival that commemorates the events described in the Books of Maccabees. The feast that begins on the 25 Kislev and ends on the 2 Tevet was celebrated from 10am to 6pm. Miriam Synger, a member of the Jewish community in Łódź, editor of the online television channel Szalom.tv, talked about how the holiday is celebrated today and how the customs are changing. She focused on the way Hanukkah is celebrated in Israel and Poland.
